CALL OF THE WILD SERIES
About Canadian Call Of The Wild Gold Coin Series
When the Royal Canadian Mint released the first coin of its brand new Call of the Wild Gold Coin series, it instantly gained popularity among other gold bullion options and Canadian Gold Coins. The Howling Wolf was the first series’ coin released in 2014, followed by the Growling Cougar in 2015 and the Roaring Grizzly in 2016. The Canadian Gold Call of the Wild Series became very desired by investors and collectors due to their high gold purity content: each coin is made of .99999 fine gold. Coins can be easily handled or stored because each of them is sold in a separate credit-card sized packaging, accompanied by an assay certificate. The Canadian Gold Coins from the Call of the Wild Series are eligible for your Precious Metals IRAs, making them an excellent opportunity to diversify your retirement savings.
The Design Of The Canadian Call Of The Wild Gold Coin Series
Each of the released coins within the Call of the Wild Gold Coin Series features the same obverse side design. A right facing portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, wearing her signature jewelry, courtesy of famous designer Susanna Blunt. Along with the famous Queen’s depiction is the inscription of the coin’s face value of $200 CAD and the year of mintage. The reverse sides of the Call of the Wild Gold coins feature different depictions of iconic and feared mammals designed by the remarkable and famous artist Pierre Leduc, the creator of countless coin designs issued by RCM. The first coin from the series, the Howling Wolf, contains the image of a howling gray wolf’s head on the back of the coin. The background lines represent the howl of the wolf. The reverse side of the next coin within the series, the Growling Cougar, depicts the powerful cougar’s head, along with the same background lines representing its howling. On the reverse side of the third and final coin of the Call of the Wild Gold Coin Series released in 2016 is represented the head of the strong Roaring Grizzly bear, with the background lines symbolizing the ferocious growl of this predator. Each characteristic of the depicted animals from the series are very sharply detailed, especially their dense fur and fierce expression. On the reverse side of the coin are also engraved the words “CANADA”, “FINE GOLD 99999” and “1 OZ OR PUR”, along with a special micro-engraved maple leaf privy mark that contains the last two digits of the year it was issued.
